International Men's Day: Hon. Seye Gbaroye Calls for Change

Hon. Seye Gbaroye, PDP Chieftain and philanthropist, has urged men worldwide to advocate for change and support one another. The former House of Representatives aspirant for Egbeda/Ona-Ara federal constituency emphasized prioritizing mental health and well-being to maintain fatherly roles.
Gbaroye noted, "International Men's Day is a movement for positive change through mental health awareness, positive role models, and gender equality.

We must recognize the importance of promoting healthy living and well-being for men and boys in our community.

Adding that, Men play a crucial role in our society, and it is important to recognize and appreciate their contributions and the positive impact they have. International Men’s Day provides an opportunity to raise awareness about men’s issues and to promote positive masculinity.

I believe that by promoting better health, and addressing the challenges that men and boys face, we can create a more inclusive and supportive community for all.

I encourage everyone to join in celebrating International Men’s Day and to take this opportunity to support and uplift the men and boys in our lives.

Notorious cultist, Oko-Ilu arraigned in court on nine counts in Osogbo

A wanted cultist in Osun State, Hammed Rasheed, 29, popularly known as Oko-Ilu has been charged to court. Oko-Ilu was brought to court by the Police before the Chief Magistrate Olufemi Ayilara of the Osogbo Magistrate Court on Wednesday. The suspected cultist was charged with nine counts bordering on murder, unlawfully killing two persons, disruption of public peace, cultism and others. He was charged with the death of Hassan Adedeji, one Idowu (A.K.A Delta) and the shooting of one Inspector Gbenga Eke. The charge sheet brought to court by the Police Prosecutor, Inspector Elisha Olusegun was not read in the court as the Magistrate did not take Oko-Ilu’s plea. The Magistrate, Ayilara remanded him in Ilesa prison and adjourned the case till October 7. The Chief Magistrate further ordered that the duplicate case file should be forwarded to the Department of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice. BREAKING: Prof Who Assaulted Police Orderly Sent To Prison

A magistrate’s court sitting in Wuse, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, has remanded Prof Zainab Duke Abiola in Suleja Prison over the assault of Inspector Teju Moses, a police orderly attached to her. The professor was arraigned alongside her domestic aide, Rebecca Enechido, on Friday. In a video clip that went viral on Wednesday, the officer was seen seated on the floor and asking to be taken to the hospital for medical attention while bleeding. Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, had confirmed the incident, saying the IGP ordered her arrest. The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) appears to be over after the leadership of the party reached a truce with the PDP G5 governors. A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Maitama has convicted the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Abdulrasheed Bawa for contempt of court in relation to his agency’s failure to comply with an earlier order of the court.
