Eid-el-Kabir: First Aare Borokini of Ifo-Land greets Muslims, urges Nigerians to embrace love, sacrifice
The First Aare Borokini of Ifo-Land, Hon. (Dr) Abeeb Balogun, has extended warm greetings to Muslims and all Nigerians on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir 2025.
In a statement issued to newsmen today, June 6, 2025, Aare Borokini, who was conferred with the title on May 17, 2025, by HRM Oba Samuel Atanda Oladipo (JP), the Olu of Ifo-Land, emphasized the need for love, selflessness, and devotion to God.
Also the first Asiwaju of Ila-Orogun, Dr. Balogun described Eid-el-Kabir as a sacred festival that commemorates the obedience and sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). He urged Nigerians to reflect on the values the celebration represents humility, unity, compassion, and service to humanity.
“This sacred season calls for deep reflection, gratitude, and a renewed commitment to nation building,” he said. “We pray that Allah (SWT) accepts our worship, grants us His mercy, and strengthens the spirit of unity across our land.”
He further urged leaders at all levels to prioritize the welfare of citizens, uphold transparency, and embrace selfless service, drawing inspiration from the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
“Let us show kindness to the less privileged and work collectively toward a more just and prosperous Nigeria,” he added.
Wishing Muslims a joyous and peaceful celebration, Aare Borokini concluded: “May Allah (SWT) guide our leaders, bless our nation with peace and prosperity, and accept our sacrifices. Eid Mubarak"
