Bride shares emotional moment as landlord who became a father figure walks her down the aisle

A bride has shared the touching story behind the man who walked her down the aisle on her wedding day — and it wasn’t her biological father.

She revealed that the man, Gill, who owns the building where she works, had been a quiet but consistent support in her life over the years.

Having opened up to him about growing up without her father and losing her mother, the bride said Gill surprised her with a heartfelt request after she got engaged.

He sat both her and her husband down and gently asked if he could have the honour of walking her down the aisle.

Notorious cultist, Oko-Ilu arraigned in court on nine counts in Osogbo

A wanted cultist in Osun State, Hammed Rasheed, 29, popularly known as Oko-Ilu has been charged to court. Oko-Ilu was brought to court by the Police before the Chief Magistrate Olufemi Ayilara of the Osogbo Magistrate Court on Wednesday. The suspected cultist was charged with nine counts bordering on murder, unlawfully killing two persons, disruption of public peace, cultism and others. He was charged with the death of Hassan Adedeji, one Idowu (A.K.A Delta) and the shooting of one Inspector Gbenga Eke. The charge sheet brought to court by the Police Prosecutor, Inspector Elisha Olusegun was not read in the court as the Magistrate did not take Oko-Ilu’s plea. The Magistrate, Ayilara remanded him in Ilesa prison and adjourned the case till October 7. A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Maitama has convicted the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Abdulrasheed Bawa for contempt of court in relation to his agency’s failure to comply with an earlier order of the court.
