Hon. Seye Gbaroye, aspirant for the Egbeda–Ona Ara Federal Constituency in Oyo State, has extended warm greetings to Christians as they mark Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Lenten season.
In a goodwill message released on Wednesday, Hon. Gbaroye urged Christian faithful to embrace the solemn reflection that comes with Ash Wednesday, reminding them of the timeless message: “From dust we came, and to dust we shall return.” He noted that the season calls for humility, sacrifice, prayer, and renewed dedication to service.
Ash Wednesday reminds us of the importance of walking in humility and purpose, he stated. As we begin this sacred journey of Lent, may we reflect deeply on our lives, strengthen our faith, and recommit ourselves to love, unity, and service to humanity.

According to him, the values of compassion, selflessness, and integrity central to the Lenten season are the same principles required to foster meaningful development across communities.
