HON. RUKAYAT BALOGUN PICKS PDP NOMINATION FORM FOR AKINYELE/LAGELU FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY [PHOTOS]

Hon. Amb. Chief (Mrs.) Lamidi Rukayat Tolani Balogun has officially picked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nomination form to contest for the House of Representatives seat for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Her decision marks a new chapter in her political journey as she shifts focus from the Oyo State House of Assembly race to a bigger platform aimed at delivering stronger representation and wider development opportunities for the people at the federal level.

Notorious cultist, Oko-Ilu arraigned in court on nine counts in Osogbo

A wanted cultist in Osun State, Hammed Rasheed, 29, popularly known as Oko-Ilu has been charged to court. Oko-Ilu was brought to court by the Police before the Chief Magistrate Olufemi Ayilara of the Osogbo Magistrate Court on Wednesday. The suspected cultist was charged with nine counts bordering on murder, unlawfully killing two persons, disruption of public peace, cultism and others. He was charged with the death of Hassan Adedeji, one Idowu (A.K.A Delta) and the shooting of one Inspector Gbenga Eke. The charge sheet brought to court by the Police Prosecutor, Inspector Elisha Olusegun was not read in the court as the Magistrate did not take Oko-Ilu’s plea. The Magistrate, Ayilara remanded him in Ilesa prison and adjourned the case till October 7. A magistrate’s court sitting in Wuse, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, has remanded Prof Zainab Duke Abiola in Suleja Prison over the assault of Inspector Teju Moses, a police orderly attached to her. A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Maitama has convicted the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Abdulrasheed Bawa for contempt of court in relation to his agency’s failure to comply with an earlier order of the court.
