ARAROMI COMMUNITY CELEBRATES AS HON. ABEEB IDOWU BALOGUN FINANCES COMPLETION OF LONG-ABANDONED ROAD PROJECT [PHOTOS]

‎It was a memorable day in Araromi Community Market and its environs as Hon. Abeeb Idowu Balogun paid a working visit in response to the community's appeal over the deplorable road linking the market to the community.

‎

‎ The road, which has been in a terrible condition for years, has caused hardship to residents, traders, and motorists, while damaging vehicles and hindering economic activities.

‎Despite being a working day, traders, market women, community executives, elders, and residents turned out in large numbers to warmly welcome Hon. Balogun.

‎

‎Speaking on behalf of the community, the Chairman, Mr. Azeez Oladosu, described Hon. Abeeb Idowu Balogun as a worthy son of the soil whose commitment to community development remains commendable even without holding public office. He expressed the community's full support for his aspiration to represent Ibadan South West Constituency-2 in the 2027 election under the party African Democratic Congress(ADC).

‎The Chairman of the Community Elders Forum, Alhaji Isiaq Ashafa, also praised Hon. Balogun's consistent humanitarian efforts and pledged the elders' support for his political ambition.

‎The Vice Chairman of the community, Comrade Agbajelola Ibrahim Ayobami, recounted the community's repeated but unsuccessful efforts to rehabilitate the road through personal contributions over the years. He explained that the community eventually appealed to Hon. Balogun, who promptly responded by visiting the site.

‎After requesting the outstanding amount required to complete the rehabilitation project, Hon. Abeeb Idowu Balogun immediately donated ₦705,000, the exact amount needed to complete the road project. 

‎The announcement and instant confirmation of the donation sparked jubilation across the market and the community, as residents celebrated what they described as a long-awaited solution to their suffering.

‎In recognition of his outstanding commitment, dedication, and selfless service to the Araromi Community, Hon. Abeeb Idowu Balogun also formally appointed Comrade Agbajelola Ibrahim Ayobami as the Campaign Director General (DG), Muslim Community, Ward 12, for his 2027 political campaign. 

‎The appointment was greeted with loud applause and excitement from community members, who described it as a well deserved recognition of his tremendous efforts and leadership.

In his address, Hon. Abeeb lamented the lack of meaningful democratic dividends in Ward 12 and assured the people of his determination to change the narrative through purposeful representation. He urged residents of Apata, Odo-Ona, and the entire ward to unite behind a credible son of the soil who is committed to genuine development rather than politicians who only appear during elections.

‎Also speaking, the President of Odo-Ona Youth, Hon. Sulaimon Ogunbayode, and the Youth President of Apata Community, Comrade Olaoluwa, commended Hon. Balogun's generosity and pledged to mobilize massive support for his 2027 ambition.

‎The event was graced by the Oyo State ADC State Women Leader, Alhaja Tawakalitu Jogunosinmi, and a notable Ward 11 leader, Hon. Abdul Azeez, who further donated ₦100,000 towards the road project.

‎The visit ended on a joyful note as residents, market men and women celebrated the intervention, expressing renewed hope that the long neglected road would finally be completed.
