From Engagement to Action: AIB Responds Swiftly to Meridian Community’s Needs [PHOTOS]

‎Hon. Abeeb Idowu Balogun(AIB) has engaged residents and stakeholders of Meridian Community in Ward 12, Ibadan South West Local Government, urging them to wake up from their slumber and demand the dividends of democracy they deserve for their consistent participation in the electoral process.

‎

‎He lamented that despite the community’s commitment to exercising their civic responsibilities during elections, they have continued to experience neglect and inadequate attention from elected representatives. He assured the community that, if elected, he would maintain continuous engagement with them, listen to their needs and support developmental initiatives where necessary, just as he has been doing across communities within Ibadan South West Constituency 2.

‎Speaking on behalf of the community, one of its stakeholders, Mrs. Ishola Suliyat, appreciated Hon. Abeeb for deeming it fit to visit Meridian Community. She lamented that elected representatives often abandon the people immediately after elections, leaving their communities without meaningful attention or development.

‎

‎Mrs. Ishola, on behalf of the community, expressed their willingness to support Hon. Abeeb’s ambition in the forthcoming election. She also appealed for the provision of solar street lights to improve security and visibility within the community.

‎

‎In a swift response, Hon. Abeeb immediately asked about the cost and subsequently donated three powerful solar street lights to the community, further demonstrating his commitment to practical and responsive grassroots representation.

‎

‎The engagement concluded with prayers from the community members for Hon. Abeeb Idowu Balogun to emerge victorious in the forthcoming election and for his ambition to bring meaningful development to the people.

2023: Oyo Accord In Great Confusion Over Court Suit as Party may not participate in 2023 General Election

A Federal High Court in Abuja has summoned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Accord party on a motion for joinder filed by Ojoge Adekunle Olaitan and Olaniyi Abideen Ayoki against the Accord Party in a suit seeking to disqualify the Governorship candidate of Accord party, Chief Bayo Adelabu and all the National Assembly and state assembly candidates from the 2023 general elections. Notorious cultist, Oko-Ilu arraigned in court on nine counts in Osogbo

A wanted cultist in Osun State, Hammed Rasheed, 29, popularly known as Oko-Ilu has been charged to court. Oko-Ilu was brought to court by the Police before the Chief Magistrate Olufemi Ayilara of the Osogbo Magistrate Court on Wednesday. The suspected cultist was charged with nine counts bordering on murder, unlawfully killing two persons, disruption of public peace, cultism and others. He was charged with the death of Hassan Adedeji, one Idowu (A.K.A Delta) and the shooting of one Inspector Gbenga Eke. The charge sheet brought to court by the Police Prosecutor, Inspector Elisha Olusegun was not read in the court as the Magistrate did not take Oko-Ilu’s plea. The Magistrate, Ayilara remanded him in Ilesa prison and adjourned the case till October 7. BREAKING: Prof Who Assaulted Police Orderly Sent To Prison

A magistrate’s court sitting in Wuse, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, has remanded Prof Zainab Duke Abiola in Suleja Prison over the assault of Inspector Teju Moses, a police orderly attached to her. The professor was arraigned alongside her domestic aide, Rebecca Enechido, on Friday. In a video clip that went viral on Wednesday, the officer was seen seated on the floor and asking to be taken to the hospital for medical attention while bleeding. Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, had confirmed the incident, saying the IGP ordered her arrest. The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) appears to be over after the leadership of the party reached a truce with the PDP G5 governors. Members of the PDP G5 Governors, led by the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, have been at loggerheads with Atiku, after Wike failed to win the party’s presidential ticket. BREAKING: Court Sends EFCC Chairman To Prison

A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Maitama has convicted the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Abdulrasheed Bawa for contempt of court in relation to his agency’s failure to comply with an earlier order of the court.
