HON. ABEEB IDOWU BALOGUN EMPOWERS 15 VULNERABLE & STRUGGLING MARKET MEN AND WOMEN WITH ₦20,000 EACH AT OKE ADO MARKET

‎It was a remarkable atmosphere of joy, appreciation and a new dawn at Oke Ado Market as Hon. Abeeb Idowu Balogun(AIB) extended his grassroots empowerment initiative to 15 carefully selected vulnerable and struggling market men and women.

‎

‎Each beneficiary received ₦20,000 cash empowerment, amounting to a total of ₦300,000, to support their businesses and cushion some of the economic challenges confronting them.

‎The beneficiaries were carefully selected by the Oke Ado Market Management, under the leadership of the Babaloja, Mr. Saliu Adebayo Ado, and the Iyaloja, Mrs. Adijat Lawal.

‎The beneficiaries received the support with overwhelming joy and gratitude, expressing appreciation to Hon. Abeeb for recognising their struggles and extending meaningful support to them.

‎Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, they revealed that an empowerment initiative of this nature had never happened in the market before, describing the gesture as unprecedented and deeply encouraging. They thanked Hon. Abeeb for remembering and recognising them and offered heartfelt prayers for his smooth and successful emergence in the forthcoming 2027 General Election.

‎Speaking at the programme, Hon. Abeeb explained that the empowerment is an initiative under the Abeeb Idowu Foundation(ABIF), established to support less privileged and vulnerable members of society. He stressed that his passion for helping people is not dependent on holding political office, noting that he has continued to impact lives through personal initiatives.

‎He further promised the market community more empowerment opportunities and continued engagement, assuring them of his commitment to supporting initiatives that will promote their welfare, strengthen their businesses and contribute to the overall progress of the market.

‎The programme ended in a truly celebratory atmosphere, as the market community erupted into various joyful choruses, prayers and expressions of appreciation for Hon. Abeeb Idowu Balogun.

Notorious cultist, Oko-Ilu arraigned in court on nine counts in Osogbo

A wanted cultist in Osun State, Hammed Rasheed, 29, popularly known as Oko-Ilu has been charged to court. Oko-Ilu was brought to court by the Police before the Chief Magistrate Olufemi Ayilara of the Osogbo Magistrate Court on Wednesday. The suspected cultist was charged with nine counts bordering on murder, unlawfully killing two persons, disruption of public peace, cultism and others. He was charged with the death of Hassan Adedeji, one Idowu (A.K.A Delta) and the shooting of one Inspector Gbenga Eke. The charge sheet brought to court by the Police Prosecutor, Inspector Elisha Olusegun was not read in the court as the Magistrate did not take Oko-Ilu’s plea. The Magistrate, Ayilara remanded him in Ilesa prison and adjourned the case till October 7. A magistrate’s court sitting in Wuse, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, has remanded Prof Zainab Duke Abiola in Suleja Prison over the assault of Inspector Teju Moses, a police orderly attached to her. The professor was arraigned alongside her domestic aide, Rebecca Enechido, on Friday. A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Maitama has convicted the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Abdulrasheed Bawa for contempt of court in relation to his agency’s failure to comply with an earlier order of the court.
