The Supervisory Councillor for Health, Offa Local Government Council, Hon. Ezekiel Olagoke Olalekan, has felicitated the Executive Chairman of Offa Local Government, Hon. Suleiman Olatunji Omituntun, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a leader whose humility, accessibility and uncommon leadership charisma continue to endear him to the people.
In a goodwill message, Hon. Ezekiel described Omituntun as a chairman who has consistently demonstrated that leadership is not about standing above the people, but standing with them.
He commended the chairman’s open-door approach to governance, noting that his willingness to listen to the concerns of residents, irrespective of political affiliation or social standing, has made his administration increasingly people-oriented.
“Hon. Suleiman Olatunji Omituntun has shown that true leadership begins with humility. He is accessible, accommodating and willing to listen. He has created an atmosphere where people feel heard, valued and respected.
“His leadership is a reminder that the greatest strength of a leader is not in the office he occupies, but in the lives he touches and the people he inspires,” he said.
Hon. Ezekiel further praised Omituntun’s developmental efforts across Offa Local Government, saying his administration has continued to make visible interventions in infrastructure, human capital development and other areas that directly affect the people.
According to him, the impact of the chairman’s administration can be seen not only in projects and physical infrastructure, but also in the renewed confidence of the people in grassroots governance.
He described Omituntun as a proactive leader whose commitment to development has earned him admiration across the political wards and communities of Offa.
“Some leaders are remembered for the offices they occupied; others are remembered for the footprints they left behind. Omituntun is steadily writing his name in the second category.
“His journey is one of service, his strength is humility, and his vision is rooted in the progress of Offa. Where others see challenges, he has often seen opportunities to make a difference,” Hon. Ezekiel added.
The Supervisory Councillor prayed for long life, sound health, wisdom and renewed strength for the chairman, asking God to continue to guide his steps and grant him the courage and capacity to lead Offa on the path of sustainable development.
He also wished Hon. Omituntun many more years of impactful service, noting that the story of a leader is ultimately measured by the positive memories he leaves in the hearts of the people.
